JC Home Building started in the north metro Atlanta counties, and we still build there. Kennesaw, Acworth and Marietta in Cobb County; Canton, Woodstock and Ball Ground in Cherokee; Cartersville in Bartow; Cumming in Forsyth. It is the area John knows best from decades of building, and it is where many of the homes in our gallery stand.

Basements, remodels and new homes

North metro homes sit on unfinished basements by the thousands, and finishing one is the most cost-effective way to add a floor of living space. We also take on kitchen and bathroom remodels, additions and whole-home renovations, and new custom homes on infill and acreage lots.

Building in North Metro Atlanta: common questions

Can you build on a steep mountain lot?

Yes, and most of our lots are. Walk-out basements, retaining walls, driveways and drainage are designed into the plan from the start rather than solved on the fly.

Do you help with land, wells and septic?

We will walk a lot with you before you buy it and tell you what it will take to build there, including well, septic, driveway and clearing. A cheap lot is not cheap if it costs a fortune to prepare.

How do you handle budget and changes?

You get an itemized budget with allowances for your selections. Changes are priced in writing before they happen, so there are no surprises at the end.

Who will I deal with?

John. He runs the job, walks the site and answers the phone. That is the point of working with a small builder.
