Home Builder in Blue Ridge

Custom homes, cabins and basement finishing around Blue Ridge, Lake Blue Ridge and the Toccoa River in Fannin County.

Blue Ridge is twenty minutes up Highway 515 from our Ellijay office, which makes Fannin County one of the places we build most. Lake Blue Ridge, the Toccoa River, the Aska Adventure Area and the ridges around Morganton, Mineral Bluff and McCaysville draw people who want a mountain home, and many of them want it to earn its keep as a rental when they are not there.

Second homes and rental cabins

A home that will be rented is designed differently: durable finishes, a floor plan that sleeps a crowd without feeling like a dormitory, a finished walk-out level with its own bath, outdoor living with a view and a hot tub pad, and mechanical systems that survive guests. We have built for owners who live here year-round and for owners who visit six weekends a year, and we design for how the house will actually be used.

Building in Fannin County

Steep lots, long driveways, well and septic, and view corridors that have to be protected through the clearing plan. We handle Fannin County permitting and inspections and build the site work into the budget up front, so the lot you fell in love with does not become a surprise.

Good to Know

Building in Blue Ridge: common questions

Can you build on a steep mountain lot?

Yes, and most of our lots are. Walk-out basements, retaining walls, driveways and drainage are designed into the plan from the start rather than solved on the fly.

Do you help with land, wells and septic?

We will walk a lot with you before you buy it and tell you what it will take to build there, including well, septic, driveway and clearing. A cheap lot is not cheap if it costs a fortune to prepare.

How do you handle budget and changes?

You get an itemized budget with allowances for your selections. Changes are priced in writing before they happen, so there are no surprises at the end.

Who will I deal with?

John. He runs the job, walks the site and answers the phone. That is the point of working with a small builder.
